Dear Reader,
There are few experiences in life as powerful, transformative, and deeply remembered as birth.
Birth impacts not only the day a baby is born, but how a woman feels about her body, her strength, her voice, her parenting, and her relationships for years to come. The experience of being heard, respected, supported, and safe matters.
That’s why I believe doula education is valuable for everyone — not only people planning to work professionally as doulas.
In my fully virtual DONA Birth Doula Workshop, we explore:
- Practical support skills you can use for friends, family, and community
- Pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum physiology
- Women’s bodies and the hormonal design of birth
- The history of childbirth and how birth systems impact autonomy
- Current international initiatives around respectful maternity care
- Birth justice, equity, advocacy, and informed choice
- Communication and emotional support skills that apply far beyond birth
- Comfort measures and rebozo
